Registration has also opened for the WICA Fishing Derby which will be held from August 17-18, 2012.  There will be four boats of 4-5 people in this year’s two day event.  Boats will be launching at 6:30am each day on the Columbia River from West Mooring Basin in Astoria, Oregon.  The registration fee for the two days is $450 per person which includes food, beverage, gear, and gratuity.  Curt Holdt has graciously opened his home located right on the river for lodging during the tournament.  Guests may arrive on August 16th in the evening or August 17th after fishing.  There will be a cocktail party and barbecue at the home each day.  There will be no charge to stay at the home, but donations are being taken to help support the activities at the house.  The registration deadline for the derby is August 7, 2012.  To register using the online system, please click here, or you can download the registration form here.
